Matthew Thomason by Sue Thomason
We're excited to welcome Matthew to the 'Minding Mama' team!
After completing his musical training at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Matthew spent some years performing across the country as a solo artist and songwriter. This
was followed by several years travelling the world, where whilst teaching in China he first began working with choral groups. Upon his return to the UK in 2012, Matthew founded the Alsager Community Choir (please see community projects page for more info) and began teaching private lessons. In 2015 he completed his BAST Vocal Teacher training and Intermediate Conducting with Sing For Pleasure.
In 2016 Matthew relocated to Cornwall
to take up the position of Music Project Leader for WILD Young Parents Project, a charity which helps to empower young vulnerable families across Cornwall.
Matthews composition works include: The Last Train To Budapest Sountrack (2009) and The Methusaleh Paradox (2015) which featured in promotional material for the book of the same name and was
used in the 2015 film 'Peculiar Joy'.
Matthew is proud to be a member of both the Association of Teachers of Singing and Sing For Pleasure. Check out Matthew's music and more
