Our first Kickstarter campaign to fund production of issue one wasn't successful; but we haven't given up!  We've set up a new Patreon page, here, where you can earn a range of 'Minding Mama' memorabilia -some of which will only be available via our various crowdfunding campaigns. Fancy appearing in an issue of 'Minding Mama'? Or sponsoring a page?  We'll be offering these and lots more, so pop over to Patreon now!

In the meantime, Neon Sky Books will be appearing at Reading Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday 13th & 14th October - you can buy tickets in advance, or at the door on the day. We hope to see you there!

As briefly mentioned on the Crowdfunding page, live action footage for our crowdfunding pitch/trailer was recorded at the Kings International College Drama Studio on 28th October. Since then, our camera/editing whizz Sue Turner of has been hard at work on the edit. The process has been delayed slightly by the temperamental weather here in the UK, because some exterior footage was required, but we're hoping to complete this very soon.

The cover artwork for Issue One is in progress, as is the music, thanks to Matthew Thomason!

On 23/24th June, Neon Sky Books and author EJ Jackson will be at the Hursley Park Book Fair   where we'll be displaying some of the costumes and artwork for 'Minding Mama'.  Entry and car parking is free, and there will be opportunities to win books and meet a varied selection of authors from all genres. We hope to see you there!

It's been very a busy few months for the team, what with other projects taking precedence and moving house, but the latest update from Illustrator Dan Schaefer is that the pages he is preparing for our crowdfunding campaign will soon be ready to go to the colourist - someone who has a great cv, and I can't wait to tell you his name!

On the right, is an early draft of Dan's cover for issue one. Isn't it brilliant? Makes me want to find out more - and I'm the writer - I already know the story!
